Federal Income Tax Assistance

The Office of the State Auditor is in partnership with the IRS to provide federal income tax assistance to military members, State of South Dakota employees and the citizens of South Dakota.

The Office of the State Auditor Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (OSA-VITA) is here to provide free income tax e-filing during February and March of each year if you meet the qualifications that have been set for the program. Our VITA site is open February 11-March 28, 2008.

We are here to help you with your tax issues. If we are unable to help you, we will make every effort to refer you to the proper agency for your situation.
