The State Auditor's office records and distributes U.S. Savings Bonds to employees participating in the program. State employees should contact their agencies personnel officer to sign up for automatic U.S. savings bonds payroll deduction.

SDCL  3-10-1.   Savings bond purchase programs authorized by public employers. The governing bodies of counties, municipalities, political subdivisions, public districts, and other public agencies or subdivisions of the State of South Dakota are hereby authorized to provide for the purchase of United States savings bonds or similar United States obligations by salary or wage deductions for those officers and employees who make written requests for such deductions and such purchases.
